Meet the Future Leaders: Nick Jones

Welcome! Well, the new class is here and are getting acclimated to life at McLean Bible Church. We’ll be doing a series of blogs to help you better get to know the Future Leader Class of 2010. Today we’re highlighting Nick Jones, who works with Frontline Creative Arts.

Music was the catalyst that God used to propel me into the local church. I was never attracted to the idea of serving in a local church ministry until I began taking upper level classes within my major (which was Worship and Music Ministry at Liberty University), I had wanted to do music ministry to some degree and even possibly missions, but definitely not full time church work; yet through many of my professors and classes, I began to realize the importance of the local church and the role that it played in evangelism and presenting the gospel to the rest of the world.

The Lord began to place a hunger within me to serve with a local church ministry to some capacity. I came to hear about McLean Bible Church through a few different sources and ended up applying for the Future Leaders Program. So far it’s been a whirlwind coming right out of college into this brand new scenario, but a blessing at the same time. I work with assisting production for the Frontline services as well as leading worship for The Gathering; it’s been great building relationships with the future leaders as well getting involved with Frontline Creative Arts and I can’t wait to see what the Lord does over the next year!
