Meet the Future Leaders: Kim McCullough

Welcome! Well, the new class is here and are getting acclimated to life at McLean Bible Church. We’ll be doing a series of blogs to help you better get to know the Future Leader Class of 2010. Today we’re highlighting Kim McCullough, who works with Kid’s Quest at the Loudoun Campus

I have been a part of the McLean Bible Church community for the past seven years, but never would have thought that I would have ended up in the Future Leaders Program. Looking back I can see clearly the steps that God led me through to get here. I graduated as a Nutrition and Dietetics major from Messiah College with no desire to do anything related to my field. My only direction was that I wanted a job in an organization with a mission I could get passionate about and that I needed to find one fast, as I was getting married in a month. After endless job searching with no success, I heard about an opening at MBC Loudoun with Kid’s Quest and decided to apply. It was quite a whirlwind, but God’s timing is so perfect. I was offered the job the day before my wedding and started two days after my honeymoon, which is when I found out that I was going to be a part of the Future Leaders Program.

I am so grateful that I get to work for this church in a ministry that I love, while being a part of a community of believers who love the Lord and who are eager to learn more about Him. Kid’s Quest has been a great ministry to work with. I love seeing how God blesses the efforts of those who earnestly teach the truth, even to little ears. It is awesome to watch children developing their faith and I can now see first hand the importance of teaching children about God while they are very young. The opportunity to be a Future Leader has been incredibly encouraging and challenging so far and I am looking forward to all that I will learn this year.
