Year in Review: Scott Clattenburg

The Future Leaders Program is now over for the Class of 2009. As we finish out our year we will be doing a series of blog posts looking back at our experiences throughout the program. Today we’re talking with Scott Clattenburg.

Apparently this blog post is a bit late considering the program ended 27 days ago. Yeah, that’s more than just a little late. Just for kicks, let’s see what can actually happen in 27 days. It apparently only takes a chicken 21 days to hatch an egg. (Great, life was brought into this world in the time that I spent procrastinating on this blog). Someone wrote a novel, and documented it with an accompanying blog, in 27 days. That’s ridiculous! And this one I find most fascinating, in November of 2005 a massive earthquake hit Pakistan and killed nearly 73,000 people. One man was buried under the rubble and found alive after, you guessed it, 27 ridiculously long days. Oh, maybe I should mention that the earthquake only lasted 12 seconds…

So what does all this mean? To be honest, I’m not really sure. Just reflect on God’s timing and soak in the rollercoaster of life. Enjoy pondering the bewildering style to which I write. I will leave you with this; this past year was amazing. I will truly miss it and the accountability that it brought to my life. I have made life-long friendships and have had to let go of others. I have seen people fall under the weight of the world and I have been there to celebrate the successes that God has brought. I’m excited for the future. I’ve seen what God has done in the last 27 days and I’m excited to see what He will do in the next 27.

Just mumbling,
Scott
