As we prepare to launch a Kid’s Quest Elementary program at the new Loudoun campus, I am reminded of God’s incredible faithfulness in so many ways. The Lord has already blessed our relationship with the Loudoun community – we find that attendance at our preview events has consistently exceeded our expectations, and that we are blessed by the encouragement of others’ prayers, service, words, gifts, and time. There are, however, moments that I find difficult – moments when I worry about having enough volunteers, or finishing the Elementary room in time for our Preview, or how on earth this will all come together. But in these times, I am also reminded that the apostle Paul said, “Therefore since through God’s mercy we have this ministry, we do not lose heart.” And indeed, it is only because of God’s incredible grace and mercy that I am even worrying about such things! It is a privilege to be part of such an exciting time in our church’s growth, and I have to remember that the church has never been made of walls or sound equipment or projectors – it is made of the people of the Lord! And in that way, God has certainly delivered! I am continually blessed and encouraged by the servant hearts of our congregation, and I am humbled to serve alongside them every step of the way.
